World Class Chef
A private chef is employed full time by one individual or family, and often lives in or near the main residence, preparing up to three meals per day.
A personal chef serves several clients and provides multiple meals that are custom-designed for the clients’ particular requests and dietary requirements. These meals are packaged and stored, so that the client may enjoy them at his or her leisure in the future.
A Private or Personal Chef’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Planning, purchasing, preparation and presentation
- Design and execution of specialty menus
- Packaging, delivering, and storing pre-prepared meals
- Creation of stored meals with heating-instruction labels
- Providing service to guests and multiple party events
- Partnering with additional staff in maintenance of edible gardens
- Providing instruction in the kitchen to employers who wish to learn
